Mapserver Help Page

This Mapserver allows you to view and analyze NASA's GIS data. You can access the mapserver directly from the data set descriptions. The mapserver was created using ESRI's ArcIMS 9.1 software. The mapserver is Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Web Map Service (WMS) compliant.

Note: Accessing Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) WMS layers from external servers may take several seconds to load.

Viewer

The map viewer is divided into three active layers.

  1. Toolbar (Located on Left): provides tools that allow you to analyze the map.
  2. Map (Located in Center): displays raster and vector data.
  3. Legend (Located on Right): displays a list of available layers.
